| The display on the right shows some
of the variety of fish that can be found in Lake Arrowhead. This includes
Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Bluegill.
This derby was made possible by many dedicated
volunteers who planned and helped to make this a memorable occasion for the
children and their families. Special thanks goes to Connie Oliver, who organized
the entire event from start to finish. Much work went into planning all of
the many details and seeing this derby finalized to completion. Many thanks
also to the wonderful volunteers who helped with their time and individual
talents.
The Fishing Derby was a great success.
Seventy-four children fished for two hours, then received a snack, goodie
bag, and prizes. Largest fish caught was an 18" catfish. Congratulations
to all who made this great event possible.
